Introduction

The term mSwitch groups together three main projects consisting of contributions and modifications to the VALE high performance software switch:

• mSwitch: extensions to improve the throughput and port scalabilty of the VALE switch.

• mSwitch-OVS: a patch to add Openflow functionality to the VALE switch.

• multistack: modifications to the VALE switch in order to support user-level network stacks.
